IPA | abv 7.1%
Brewed with barley, wheat, rye, oats, and just a touch of honey malt, we hammered this beer with Galaxy, Motueka, and Simcoe and double dry-hopped it with the same blend. Big notes of juicy tropical fruit, papaya, kumquat, and dank green tones are rounded out by a pillowy soft finish. The Space Jellyfish roams its alien landscape.
WHAT DID YOU DO, RAY? (PINA COLADA EDITION)
Pineapple + Coconut Milkshake IPA | abv 7.2%
We tried to think of the most harmless thing. Something we loved from our childhood. Something that could never, ever possibly destroy us. We brewed this IPA with 63 lbs of marshmallow fluff, double dry-hopped it with heaps of Mosaic, Simcoe, and Denali, then conditioned it on hundreds of pounds of pineapple puree, coconut cream, fresh vanilla beans, and milk sugar. Bursting with dense notes of citrus, pineapple gummies, and coconut ice cream.
IPA | abv 6.5%
2-row, golden promise, wheat, and oats provide the backdrop for the cacophony of citrus and tropical notes from the ridiculous amount of Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo in this double dry-hopped IPA. Lush grapefruit, mandarin orange, lychee, papaya, the works. Take your time with the name. We’ll wait.
Double IPA | abv 8.3%
This one’s a mouthful in more ways than one. Built on the same malts (2-row, Golden Promise, wheat, and oats) and hops (Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo) as Beebweepa, but with more of everything and some Galaxy worked into the mix to crank things up to 11. Huge tropical citrus aroma with a massive, creamy body, a touch of bitterness, and a cloud soft landing that will have you reaching for another.
Milkshake IPA | abv 7.2%
Named for our resident Brewdog and Lord o’ Bones, Benny, this sweetheart of an IPA is brewed with malted rye, oats, and lactose, then hopped with Citra, Simcoe, and Motueka. We double dry-hopped it with a heaping helping of bright, sunshiny Vic Secret and even more Citra, then added a double fistful of Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans. Big tropical notes of pineapple and pina colada with a smooth, creamy finish. Resembles old Ben both in color and sweetness and pairs well with belly rubs. Go say hi to him in the brew shop and see for yourself.
Double IPA | abv 8.0%
This big juicy thing was hopped to space and back with Citra and lightning-fresh Nelson Sauvin. We kept the grain bill simple on this one, sticking to just 2-row, oats, and carapils so that the hops could really shine. Big candied citrus notes complement Nelson’s signature tropical, white grape, and stonefruit aromas. Strap in. Time for takeoff.
West Coast IPA | abv 5.6%
Crisp and pungent, this one’s a simple blend of 2-row, Vienna, and Carapils. Hopped in the boil with Cashmere and dry-hopped with more Cashmere and a hefty dose of Vic Secret. Bright, citrusy dankness with a clean, gently bitter finish. Scarf it down. Keep your neck warm.
Pineapple, Passionfruit, + Guava Kettle Sour | abv 6.0%
Put your party pants on, because we pumped up this kettle sour with lactose for oomph, and then gently fruited it with guava, passionfruit, and pineapple. Tart and refreshing, like a tropical lemonade. We all went through a party phase, but we’re better now. Maybe.
Strawberry + Key Lime Kettle Sour | abv 5.%
This one is an ode to our dearly departed warm weather. Brewed with a simple base of pilsen and wheat malts and conditioned on a ridiculous 250 lbs of strawberry and key lime purees. Subtly pink with strawberry popsicles and lime jello in the nose and a tart, citrusy finish. Bright and fresh and perfectly balanced. We still don’t know what a polydribble is, but now there are five of them.
Berliner Weisse(ish) | abv 5.4%
This one’s built on a base of 2-row and wheat with some oats tossed in (because why not?) along with some lactose for balance. Light, crisp, and tart with lovely pineapple and peach in the nose. Served with a drizzle of tart cherry syrup in the glass. A bright blip in an otherwise dreary season.
Kolsch | abv 5.3%
An unassuming, crisp little kolsch for these hot days. Pilsner, Vienna, Wheat, and a little Munich round out the grain bill. Hopped in the kettle with Mandarina Bavaria and left alone in stainless for a few extra weeks to think things over. Lightly malty and refreshing.
TINY TYRANT: SIMCOE
Single Hop Pale Ale Series | abv 4.8%
The third Tiny Tyrant is once again built on the same grain bill as always, but this version is hopped aggressively with Simcoe hops. They say good things come in small packages, especially when those things have delicious aromas of pine and mango.
American Wheat | abv 5.4%
This crushable classic is built on a base of 2-row and white wheat, then hopped and dry-hopped with Citra, Amarillo, and Centennial. Bright and crisp with aromas of citrus, pine, and the memory of summer vacation. Go for height. Stay away from the edge.
Porter | abv 5.3%
This suddenly seasonally-appropriate porter has aromas of coffee and bitter chocolate followed by nutty malt, roast, and a bit of figgy raisin. Drink up and get excited, ‘cuz it’s finally dark beer season! It’s totally okay for you to drink this now and we don’t think you’re crazy at all.
